Purpose of the role:
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team and provide expert guidance to our guests in selecting wines that enhance their dining experiences. The Sommelier will assist in curating the wine list, offer recommendations, and ensure seamless wine service. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of wines, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will be:
- Sommelier main work is on the floor, guiding the customers through the wine list and elevate the customer experience in wine.
- Assisting the Head Sommelier in curating and maintaining a well-rounded and diverse wine list.
- Engaging with guests to understand their preferences and providing personalized wine recommendations.
- Educating guests about the characteristics of different wines, regions, and varietals.
- Serving wines to guests with proper techniques, including temperature control, glassware selection, and presentation.
- Collaborating with the culinary team to suggest wine pairings that complement the flavors of the dishes.
- Conducting tastings to refine and expand your knowledge of successful pairings.
- Assisting in managing the wine cellar, including organization, inventory tracking, and rotation of wines.
- Participating in regular training sessions to expand your wine knowledge and service skills.
- Supporting the training of other service staff on basic wine knowledge and service techniques.
- Participating in wine-related events, tastings, and promotions as directed by the Head Sommelier.
What we expect from you:
- Previous experience as a Sommelier or wine service role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong passion for wines and a desire to continuously learn and expand your knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and production methods.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey wine information in an approachable manner.
- Customer-focused attitude and the ability to provide outstanding service.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Having one of the following certifications ASI Diploma, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Wine & Spirit Education Trust would be advantageous. If you haven't obtained them yet, we'll support you in achieving these qualifications.
- Medical Certificate for food operators required.
- Minimum age requirement 21 years.
