Purpose of the role:
We are seeking skilled and customer-oriented Bartenders to join our team at Bombay Club and Burman Hotel Restaurants. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our patrons, offering exceptional service, and crafting a wide variety of beverages to meet our guests' preferences. Your ability to multitask, engage with customers, and maintain a clean and organized work environment will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Your responsibilities will be:
- Preparing and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring quality and consistency in every drink.
- Greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and offering menu recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handling cash and credit transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate accounting and adherence to our establishment's cash handling procedures.
- Maintaining a neat and organized bar area, including restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patrons and fellow staff members.
- Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing attentive and personalized service to enhance their overall experience.
- Creating a vibrant and inviting ambiance by setting up and arranging the bar area with appropriate décor and lighting.
- Ensuring the bar's inventory is well-stocked, and liaising with the management team to reorder supplies as needed.
- Preparing garnishes, mixers, and other ingredients in advance to streamline service during busy hours.
- Handling difficult or challenging situations with tact and professionalism, resolving any customer complaints or issues swiftly and effectively.
- Staying updated on current drink trends, new cocktail recipes, and industry innovations to continuously improve beverage offerings.
- Collaborating with other staff members, including servers and kitchen personnel, to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Upholding responsible alcohol service practices, checking the identification of customers to verify legal drinking age and avoiding over-serving.
- Participating in regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of products and services.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the entire establishment, assisting in other areas when needed.
What we expect from you:
- Proven work experience as a Bartender or similar role in a hospitality setting.
- Proficient knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and beverage presentation.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with a diverse range of patrons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated understanding of responsible alcohol service and the legal regulations related to alcohol consumption.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications in bartending or mixology are advantageous.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects during the course of a shift.
- Minimum age requirement 21 years.
