Purpose of the role:
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will oversee the invoicing process, audit stock inventory, and assist senior accountants with financial reporting and document preparation.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Ensure accurate, timely, and efficiently organized financial records in line with accounting principles and company policies, while rigorously ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, oversee timely invoicing, payments, and meticulous reconciliation of all transactions.
- Maintain current knowledge of accounting regulations and standards, with a particular focus on those applicable in Estonia; adapt and refine financial processes to align with evolving regulatory demands.
- Supervise the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and prompt dispatch to maintain favorable client relations.
- Manage and audit stock inventory to ensure accuracy and adequacy of supply levels, reporting any discrepancies and predicting future needs based on sales trends.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by helping prepare the company's balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents. Ensure timeliness and accuracy to properly reflect the financial standing of the company.
- Work under senior accountants, contributing to high-quality financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Engage in activities that promote continuous learning and team collaboration.
Key Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting roles, with a proven track record of handling a broad range of accounting activities.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Estonian, capable of explaining financial information clearly and concisely.
- A keen eye for detail, precision, and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial data management and reporting.
- Proactive and analytical mindset, with robust problem-solving skills and the capacity to make informed decisions based on comprehensive financial analysis.
