Purpose of the role:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of all hotel rooms and public areas, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay for guests. This role involves daily cleaning tasks, addressing guest requests, and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Estimated start date: January/February 2025

Your responsibilities will be: 

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Clean and tidy hotel rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards.
• Perform general cleaning in back-of-house areas as needed.
• Change linens, make beds, disinfect surfaces, vacuum, and replenish room supplies and amenities.
• Arrange all clothing items in occupied guestrooms neatly according to standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the monthly inventory of equipment, cleaning supplies, minibar stock, linens, etc.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional services, guest laundry, or items.
• Assist in laundry services as needed.
• Report missing or damaged items.
• Report lost and found items.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and used properly.

What we expect from you:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar role preferred.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Respectful and courteous demeanor.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and guest service.
• Proficiency in English at a conversational level.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
