Purpose of the role:
As a Hotel Receptionist at The Burman Hotel, you are the first point of contact for our guests, delivering exceptional customer service throughout their stay. In this role, you will manage reservations, check-ins and check-outs, and respond to guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and warmth.
How you will contribute:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, product offerings, service procedures, and standards.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
- Handle reservations, booking inquiries, and modifications.
- Control room inventory for respective room types and categories.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a tidy and organised front desk area.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency in English at a conversational level.
- Team player with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
