Strategic Communication Manager

Purpose of the role:
In the role of Strategic Communication Manager, you will play a pivotal part in defining, managing, and executing internal, corporate, and public communication strategies for Bombay Group.
This highly collaborative and results-driven position requires a balance of legislative and compliance knowledge, leadership, and a strategic understanding of how communication impacts both internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure that communication activities are planned with foresight, designed with purpose, and implemented with excellence, often in coordination with other departments or external partners.
Your responsibilities will be:
Communication strategy & execution:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop comprehensive communication strategies (internal and external), that align with overall organizational goals.
- Tailor messaging for different audience segments (investors, media, employees and more) to ensure relevance and impact.
Internal communications strategy & leadership:
- Employee engagement: lead initiatives to improve internal communication, ensuring employees are motivated, aligned with organizational values, and informed about key developments.
- Change management communication: support change initiatives, helping staff navigate transitions smoothly and reinforcing a positive organizational culture.
- Leadership communication: work with the executive team to craft speeches, internal presentations, and key messages that align with company priorities.
Media relation & public relations management:
- Proactive media engagement: build and nurture relationships with key journalists, reporters, and media outlets to ensure ongoing positive coverage of the company in regards to legislation, policy and risk management.
- Crisis communications: develop and execute crisis communication plans, serving as a trusted advisor during a crisis and acting as the primary spokesperson when needed.
- Train C-Suite executives as Bombay Group spokespersons, leveraging their unique strengths and expertise in specific fields.
- Public relations campaigns: lead PR campaigns that highlight significant organizational milestones and social responsibility programs, while also collaborating with the Marketing team to enhance brand positioning.
Stakeholder communication & relationship management:
- Key stakeholder engagement: identify, segment and prioritize communication with key stakeholders, shareholders, partners, government bodies, and media representatives.
- Investor relations: in collaboration with the finance team, develop investor relations communications to keep stakeholders informed and aligned with corporate strategy.
Leadership & team development:
- Cross-department collaboration: collaborate with departments such as Marketing, People, Legal & Compliance, Product Development, and Operations to ensure a cohesive and unified communication approach.
- Budget management: manage the communication budget, ensuring efficient and effective resource allocation to achieve strategic objectives.
Corporate & social responsibility:
- Develop a clear, coherent corporate and social responsibility strategy that is consistently communicated both internally and externally.
- Optimizing and crafting statements on Bombay’s corporate and social responsibility positioning and management, considering the business's market verticals.
- Ensuring that all aspects of our trading environment and communications enhance, rather than degrade, society and the environment.
What we expect from you:
- Minimum 6–7 years of experience in Communication, PR, or a related field, with a track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders and leadership teams on both local and international levels.
- Strong writing and oral communication in Estonian and English: craft clear, persuasive messages and deliver compelling presentations.
- Analytical skills: interpret data, understand customer behavior, and evaluate communication effectiveness.
- Knowledge of gaming business (a strong benefit): familiarity with casino games, gambling regulations, and customer expectations.
- Crisis management and adaptability: handle high-pressure situations and adapt to industry trends.
- Ability to excel in both strategic and tactical communication management.
- Interpersonal skills: build strong relationships with stakeholders, team members, and partners to foster collaboration.
