Purpose of the role:
The Operational Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all compliance aspects of gambling operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on compliance activities, and working closely with Tech team, Casino ops and various departments to ensure that all technical operations adhere to legal and ethical standards.
How you will contribute:
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to gambling regulations (AML, Gambling Act, Data Protection Act), stay updated on legal changes, communicate updates, and submit accurate reports and documentation on time.
- Internal audits: Conduct audits of technical systems and processes, identify non-compliance, implement corrective actions with relevant teams, enhance compliance mechanisms, and maintain detailed records of findings and follow-ups.
- Policy development & Implementation: Support the creation and enforcement of compliance policies, ensure staff awareness through training, and regularly update policies to maintain effectiveness.
- Risk management: Identify compliance risks, develop mitigation strategies with the Senior Compliance Officer and CRO, monitor effectiveness, and conduct risk assessments with improvement recommendations.
- Training & Education: Develop and deliver compliance training, ensure staff understand procedures, and provide ongoing support on regulatory matters.
- Incident management: Investigate compliance breaches, document findings, report to the Senior Compliance Officer and CRO, implement corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable EU university, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Blockchain Analytics, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years in a compliance role, ideally in the gambling or gaming industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements related to gambling operations.
- Ability to assess complex regulations, determine their impact on operations, and ensure complete compliance through thorough document and process review.
- Clear and effective communication skills for training staff and reporting to management.
- Strong command of the English language, with additional proficiency in Estonian being an advantage.
- A genuine drive for learning and growth. If you don't have the full compliance skill set yet, we are happy to provide training and support to help you develop.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

You will be working with a dynamic team of four, including Compliance Specialists and the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), and collaborating closely with Legal, Tech, Casino Ops, and other departments.
