Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Head Chef for Écrin – a passionate and visionary culinary leader who is responsible for leading all kitchen operations while driving creativity, quality, and consistency across the menu. The Head Chef plays a key role in shaping Écrin’s culinary identity, ensuring the highest standards of execution, and delivering memorable gastronomic experiences aligned with the resort’s high-end vision.
How you will contribute:
Develop innovative menus that cater to diverse tastes, dietary preferences, and current trends.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes while maintaining consistency and quality.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality and visual appeal.
Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes, standards, and quality controls.
Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to ensure consistency and identify improvements.
Supervise daily kitchen operations, including sourcing, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen in compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
Lead, motivate, train, and mentor kitchen staff to support continuous professional development.
Control food and labor costs through portion control, waste reduction, and inventory management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure fresh, high quality ingredients.
Collaborate on events, private functions, and catering services, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and front of house teams.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-end culinary establishment.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary certification is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines.
Strong understanding of food cost control, budgeting, and financial management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop unique dishes and concepts.
Proficiency in managing kitchen operations software and systems.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
