Purpose of the role
Payment Operations Lead role is to own and scale Bombay Group's global payments ecosystem across both land-based and online casino operations. This role focuses on building seamless, compliant, and cost-efficient payment solutions across multiple jurisdictions, covering both fiat and crypto, while balancing exceptional guest experience with strong operational control.
Payment Operations Lead combines strategic oversight with hands-on expertise, sourcing and managing global payment partners, supporting technical integrations, and ensuring the payments infrastructure can evolve with business growth, regulatory requirements, and changing player needs.
How you will contribute
Define and execute a global payments strategy across land-based and online casino operations.
Own the payments roadmap, aligning product, technology, compliance, and commercial objectives.
Act as the internal authority on payments, advising leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities.
Source, onboard, and manage global PSPs, banks, acquirers, e-wallets, APMs, and crypto providers.
Ensure coverage across key markets and player geographies, including high-risk and emerging regions.
Own PSP onboarding and integrations from operational handover through go-live.
Manage the commercial performance of payments, including fees, FX, chargebacks, fraud losses, and conversion.
Partner with Product, Tech, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to deliver compliant, scalable payment solutions.
What we are looking for
3+ years in payments, fintech, gaming, or high-risk eCommerce, with ownership of payment functions.
Direct experience in online gaming, casinos, betting, or similarly regulated industries strongly preferred.
Proven track record sourcing and managing global fiat and crypto payment solutions.
Strong understanding of payment system architecture, APIs, gateways, reconciliation, and reporting.
Comfortable translating technical constraints into commercial and operational decisions.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working closely with engineering, product, compliance, and finance in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Experience across multiple jurisdictions and currencies is a strong advantage.
The team by your side
You'll join the Bombay Finance team and report to the Head of Cage & Wallet Operations, working at the intersection of payments, product, technology, compliance, and finance. This role partners closely with internal operational teams and external payment providers to ensure smooth, scalable payment experiences across both land-based and online gaming environments.
